ABOUT ME

MY STORY

Hi, I’m Jessi — a hospice nurse turned death doula with a deep love for life, nature, and all its sacred transitions. Since 2013, I’ve had the privilege of working in many corners of nursing — from dementia care and rural travel assignments to medical-surgical units and, most meaningfully, hospice. Each experience has shaped how I hold space for others, blending practicality with presence, humour with heart.

I’m most at peace when I’m near the ocean, on a forest trail, or traveling somewhere new with my camera in hand and my dog by my side. I believe in the power of gentle vigil, sacred ceremony, and laughter through tears. This work — this life — is a devotion to presence, beauty, and the reminder that love is always the thread that carries us home.

When I’m not at a bedside or guiding a family through their goodbyes, you’ll probably find me behind a camera lens — capturing sunlight dancing on water or quiet, soulful moments that remind me beauty lives everywhere, even in endings. Photography helps me see death not as darkness, but as transformation — full of light, love, and stories that still shimmer.

'“What You Can Expect When We Work Together”

When we work together, you can expect calm, kindness, and genuine connection. I move slowly, listen deeply, and meet you exactly where you are. Every experience is unique — sometimes it’s filled with stories and laughter, other times with stillness and reflection. My intention is to bring warmth and steadiness, creating space for comfort, clarity, and care in whatever season you’re in.
